What can acupuncture treat?

Many people are familiar with acupuncture as a form of treatment for pain, since it is commonly used to treat arthritis, fibromyalgia, back/neck pain, and muscle aches and pains. But did you know that it can actually treat a wide assortment of mental, emotional, and physical disorders? Regular sessions have been proven to help with issues such as:

  1. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, and stress

  2. Addictions such as food, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, and gambling

  3. Gastrointestinal and digestive issues

  4. Gynecological issues such as infertility, PMS, irregular and/or painful menses stemming from different conditions

  5. Hormonal imbalance

  6. Prenatal and post natal care

  7. Inducing labor

  8. Fatigue

  9. Migraines

  10. High blood pressure

You can even use acupuncture as an immune booster during cold and flu season! It is a great way to keep your body in balance, even if you don’t have any significant injuries or conditions.

Why Community Acupuncture?

Hillcrest Community Acupuncture (HCA) is a proud member of the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA). Based on more traditional Chinese methods, treatment is received in a community setting in comfortable recliner chairs. The quiet space, combined with a collective healing energy, allows for a more relaxed environment. Community acupuncture is also more affordable, providing high quality treatment without the high costs. This ensures that anyone can receive the benefits of treatment, no matter their income. We make acupuncture affordable and accessible! It is no wonder that this movement has been steadily growing across the country!

HCA provides treatment on a sliding scale, based on income. Sessions are $20-$40, plus an additional $10 fee for the first visit. We do not require proof of income, just let us know what you can afford!

Classes & Events at HCA

Our most recent class on using Essential Oils to replace common products in your medicine cabinet was very informative, and had a great turn out! We will soon be hosting similar classes on using EO in beauty and skincare, as well as using oils for emotional support and balance. Stay tuned for dates!

We also host a 7 Chakra Crystal Bowl Meditation, led by Rev. Dr. Maria Theresa Larsen here at the clinic. These sessions fill up fast, so be sure to reserve your seat at the next one!

Next session:

Saturday, September 17, 2016 – 5:00-6:15pm
